The BNNT can handle temperatures that vary from 400 degrees to 900 degrees. BNNT is a lot more expensive than carbon nanotubes. The ratio of the BNNT to carbon nanotubes price is

$1000 per gram compared to $10 to $20 per gram of carbon nanotubes. These prices are making NASA questions the idea, but they are thinking of doing it because HBN could save countlesss astronaut's lives.

BNNT absorb neutrons. Normally, elements will try to make their electron shells full. We could use other of the element atoms to attract the radiation.
